  • Section 278 agreements: Often talked about but rarely understood. What do they cover? What are the Highway Authority‚Äôs obligations? The "Powergen" case. What is the inherent conflict between developer and the Highway Authority and how can it be managed?
  • Indemnities: It is essential that the local highway authority secures indemnities from the developer to cover not only third party claims but also statutory compensation, but this area is often overlooked.
