LLG Legal Training is delighted to announce a new North East Planning Conference to be held on 10th September 2018 at Durham County Council, in association with Kings Chambers, Manchester.

The Conference will provide delegates with the opportunity to hear from pre-eminent barristers from the renowned Kings Chambers, which has produced some of the leading practitioners in the planning field. Members of Chambers have been involved with most of the major development projects in the North West of England, as well as many others nationwide, and regularly work with numerous local authorities across the country.

The North East Planning Conference will be chaired by Vincent Fraser QC, whose introduction to the Conference will lead into a session on data protection and the planning register from Martin Carter. This will be followed by Freddie Humphreys’ session on CIL and drafting section 106 agreements, before delegates break for refreshments. After the mid-morning break, delegates will hear from Ruth Stockley on stopping up orders under planning powers, which will be followed by lunch and the opportunity to network and share planning knowledge and experience with fellow practitioners.

The afternoon Conference will begin with a presentation from Constanze Bell on the presumption in favour of sustainable development. This will be followed by a discussion on enforcement from Philip Robson, before a plenary session to end the Conference.
